When I set out to buy my first home in early 2000, I had a modest budget and a modest vision. As a professional green builder, I planned to buy a fixer-upper and renovate as green as possible. But when my realtor brought me to a large, mixed-use two building property on the edge of West Oakland, my vision expanded. Water Conservation News Flash

Help fend off the drought and distinguish your business and/or property as a water conserving operation! Now is a good time to inspect all plumbing fixtures and appliances. All new toilets sold in California use only 1.28 gallons per flush. Why not upgrade now? If you don’t have the budget for it, make sure that the toilet flapper is properly sealed so that you don’t have a slow trickle leak running 24/7 and that wastes thousands of gallons of water.
